Our HistoryThe history of LifeChurch in Gilbert, Arizona, is a testament to divine connections and faith-filled obedience, rooted in a pivotal 1979 meeting between the Bibb and Hampton families. From a casual conversation in a living room to the humble beginnings in a largely agricultural East Valley, the journey from "Abundant Life Church" to its current, vibrant state was born from a vision, faith, and a calling to plant a church in a growing desert landscape.

Our Statement of Faith
Welcome to Life! Jesus promised, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). To experience the full life Jesus offers, we affirm our conviction in the following core beliefs:
About the Bible
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living.

About God
There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father (in Creation), in His Son Jesus Christ (in Salvation), and as the Holy Spirit (Renewal in the New Birth). Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. He was born of a virgin. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

About Sin and Salvation
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9).
About the Gospel
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection) (See 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 37-39; Romans 6:3-4; Acts 2:4.)
About Christian Living
As Christians we are to love God and love others. We endeavor to live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today.

About the future
Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death.
